Additional Product Information

TAKARA TOMY MICRO SLOT CAR OWNER'S BASIC SET.  Set includes a limited edition Fairlady Z (Z33) and a Toyota 200 GT in a collector case; 3 - straight track; 1- power track; 1- squeeze track; 6 - small corner track; 2 large corner track; battery box; 2 - controllers; and the manual.  A basic oval configuration would measure 210mm x 297mm (the size of an A4 piece of paper).  This is what is considered a "kitchen table" race track.  Scale is what is considered "true HO" which means the cars are smaller than most HO cars from manufacturers like AFX and Aurora.  Requires 6 AA batteries (not included).

In a review by The Gadgeteer this was written: Racing the cars is simple and fun. Just place the cars in the slots, flip the switches on the battery box, squeeze the trigger on the controller and away you go! Sometimes you have to adjust the position of the car on the track, so that the metal contacts on the bottom are resting on the metal wires next to the slot.

The little cars can really fly around the track… sometimes they even fly off or jump tracks. I had more trouble keeping the smaller / lighter White car on the track. The Grey car worked a lot better.

The SlotForum stated: A nice touch with the controllers is that the speed plunger can be set in different positions with a locking button, for automatic .

driving of one of the cars if you're lacking a racing partner, or fully automated driving of the track (both cars) if you don't want .

to race at all, just sit back and watch the show...

This set has not been used/run.  The original box is intact, but shows wear and has a substantial crease at the opening of the back (see photo).  It has been stored in a smoke-free environment.
